Just a five minute drive from my house is the Bald Hill Natural Area, a new favorite running area for me. Paths and trails weave through farmland, prairies and woodlands, past grazing cows and horses and a couple of idyllic farmhouses. There’s definitely something so peaceful yet invigorating about running through this beautiful land, and I appreciate that it is so easily accessible from my house.

Rita, you have to come visit Oregon sometime! You would really appreciate the landscapes. It’s so different from Santa Barbara, but still beautiful. I love how the trees and everything just seems a bit wild and untamed, especially in the summer.
