Girls Gone Wild

We took a short hike on Jesusita Trail, a popular trail for hikers and runners and only a few minutes from our house. We did not get that far along the trail with P stopping every 3 steps to investigate the cracks in the dry dirt trail and C working on her plant and wildflower identification skills. But I suppose that is the beauty of allowing little kids to explore their natural world.

  1. Future bushwhacker is whacking nettles in that picture. Hopefully F.Bushwhacker avoided whacking the poison oak.:)

  2. Okay, so Tristan and I spent 3 hours Thursday in all of the usual tadpole haunts hunting for the wogs and finding NOTHING to bring to the Kindergarten which is currently in middle of a life cycle study . He, Tristan, started whacking at the nettles too. What is it with nettle whacking? We bushwhacked our way down to lake los caneros in a last attempt to procure some amphibians and got hemmed in my poison oak and nettles. It was godawful. The streams are too high for p.wogs to be established. We gave up and bought some. Sigh.
