20.

This morning was the first of my 3 scheduled 20 mile runs for this training season. The run was steady and calm with no surprise aches or pains, and fueled by thoughts of the Waxman family, whose daughter Stephanie is enduring chemotherapy right now.

20 miles is quite a bit of ground to cover, with varied scenery. Here’s a glimpse of 20 miles through Corvallis, Oregon.

Running along the Willamette River

Llamas or Alpacas (can’t tell which) way in the background

A patch of purple in the field

Covered Bridge!

What’s a run without seeing sheep?

Interesting vine sculptures/huts on the Oregon State University campus

Sidewalk chalk art

Finishing at the Farmer’s Market

  2. WOW! I’ve never attempted a run over the 13.1 miles of a half…way to go, Maggie!! And your pictures are gorgeous. Did you do this run solo? Do you listen to music on your long runs? Just wondering how you keep yourself moving… šŸ˜‰

    • Yup, solo run. I’ve been training pretty much solo since February. These days, I DO listen to music on my runs. I used to never listen to music, but these days I find music very motivating.
